One of SPLAT’s original students, Spencer has just graduated. He still holds the title of being the only person to be able to complete the typing game, “Toby Typer” Thanks to generous donors SPLAT was able to give Spencer his own laptop and his own printer.

S.P.L.A.T now has a total of 6 students each week who are all dedicated and love coming to S.P.L.A.T. I am also sad to announce the volunteer coordinator of L.A.F.H. Cecilia Ribakoff is leaving to go back to school but will still volunteer at L.A.F.H.

SPLAT just had its second successful graduate of upward bound who received his laptop. At Upward bounds request i will set up a meeting between upward bound and my school to discuss a possible community service relationship. everything continues well at the LAFH shelter thanks to my volunteer Bradley Reinfeld.

I am happy to announce that SPLAT had it’s first graduation from Upward Bound House and a laptop was sent home with a great young boy. SPLAT’s weekly tutoring is going great all of my students are exiling in typing.    Sadly I am going to change shelter due to where my new school is.  Luckily thanks to generous donors I will be able to continue SPLAT in a new shelter AND at the one i am at now.

This Week, SPLAT had another great tutoring.   More students are wanting to learn how to type. SPLAT has received some more great laptops and will continue to send laptops home with children when they graduate.

Major Break Through for student

Last session a student of mine who has been diagnosed with learning disabilities and processing problems has just had a major breakthrough. Before this she would be very nervous and afraid to try typing. Now though, she loves typing and feels good about her self. I personally am really proud and happy for her.
