You will continue to get spam, but GMail has a better filter, as long as you don’t disguise your email address from the computer robots.
Try mguggs AT gmail DOT com or mguggs[remove] @ gmail.com
and so on. It maybe too late if you posted your address already. But change the way you write it as soon as you can.
(or type it in Notetab or something then take a screenshot or image of it and paste the image of the email into the post above. I’ve had luck with that. Even write it on a piece of paper and take a photo of that to post.)
